Roberto: If Barcelona can win from 4-0 down, PSG can comeback vs Real Madrid

Paris Saint-Germain can take heart in their Champions League clash with Real Madrid from what Barcelona did to the French team last year, according to Sergi Roberto.

Speaking after signing a new Blaugrana contract, Roberto insisted that anything is possible in the tie despite the fact that Los Blancos won the first leg 3-1.

"We were able to overcome a much worse first leg result," said the Spaniard at a press conference.

"It is always possible. With the result in Madrid I think that they can come back."

Now due to stay at the Camp Nou until 2022, Roberto spoke about his previous coaches Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique, as well as the state of La Masia.

"With Guardiola I was lucky because he was a coach," he continued. "He trusted me and others from the academy, he gave us our debut and I thank him for that.

"Luis Enrique gave me confidence, climbing up from the B-team.

"And in another way he gave me the chance to play in another position which gave me the game time I needed. I am very grateful to both of them.

"There are players who come [through the academy] with us and their dream is to succeed. Then there are also things that cannot be controlled, because there are players who sign for other teams.

"I had offers and I decided to fight for my dream, which is to play here."

The Barcelona man is hoping to be part of Spain's World Cup squad in the summer and is confident of earning Julen Lopetegui's trust.

"[It] would be a dream," said the right-back.

"I have already played a Under-17 World Cup and another U20 World Cup. Any player wants to go to a World Cup.

"I am close because I've been to several national team squads and I hope to continue playing well enough for Lopetegui to call me up [to Russia]."
