According to Marca, Spanish national team and Manchester City midfielder Rodri gave an interview at the media day held at Las Rozas Football City, responding to rumors of a possible move to Real Madrid.

Speaking about Real Madrid, Rodri said: "That's part of football. I'm focused on being a leader in the national team, that's my path. I understand what people are saying, but I'm not going to spend my time on it. We'll see after the World Cup."

Regarding his physical condition, Rodri said: "After a season that was good for me personally, but where the team didn't achieve all its goals, I feel refreshed now. Compared to 2024, my playing rhythm is a bit less, but on the other hand, the workload is also less."

Speaking about the favorites, Rodri said: "They are the teams everyone has in mind. The so-called favorites have to prove it on the field, labels are useless. The World Cup is long and tough, it depends on how we feel then."

Regarding the team's arrival, Rodri said: "We are all very happy and full of anticipation. Everyone arrived healthy, and we have started preparing for the World Cup. Outsiders see us as favorites, which is a compliment, but we must prove it."
