Roma have appointed Barcelona’s Francesco Calvo as their new chief revenue officer, but President James Pallotta jokes “we still want Lionel Messi!”
The Giallorossi were incensed when the Spanish champions hijacked their move for Bordeaux winger Malcom at the last second.
The club’s American owner gave a long interview to SiriusXM FC in which he insisted the only way for the Catalans to heal the rift was to give his club Messi.
Today 41-year-old Italian Francesco Calvo has been appointed as the new chief revenue officer, leaving Barcelona to take up the role.
“This changes nothing,” Palotta joked in a statement via Roma’s official Twitter account.
“We still want Messi!”
Calvo previously worked at Juventus for four years.

if Barca can't realise Messi they should try to loan him to Roma for a fixed term so he can get more experience in other club and brake more records than Ronald himself when he is out to other club he could be the unstoppable player in the world
