According to Corriere dello Sport, Internazionale is monitoring Nico Paz and preparing to enter the race, as the buyback tug-of-war between Real Madrid and Como continues.
Facing limited playing time prospects at Real Madrid, Nico Paz has expressed his desire to remain at Como for another season, with the club backing his preference. However, Real Madrid has taken a firm stance. The club has presented Como with two options: either purchase the Argentine talent outright for €10 million according to the original agreement, or pay €60 million for Paz while Real Madrid retains a buyback clause set at €80 million.
The second option is not feasible for Como. Despite the club's recent Champions League qualification, Financial Fair Play regulations prevent the investment. Both sides have therefore reopened negotiations. Como's management plans to travel to Madrid next weekend, between Thursday and Friday. Whether these talks will succeed remains uncertain, as Florentino Pérez appears unmoved. The most likely outcome remains Paz's return to Spain.
If the Argentine does return to Real Madrid, he faces a clear message: secure a club willing to pay €60 million, or find another solution to leave.
Internazionale has expressed interest in Paz, though such a deal appears unlikely in the short term. Having invested approximately €50 million in Lautaro Martínez, Inter would struggle to fund a €60 million signing. A cost-effective alternative—such as a high-value loan with a purchase obligation or flexible payment terms—could open a pathway. However, any such arrangement would require approval from Oaktree Capital.
