Roma attacker Bryan Cristante is delighted for Lorenzo Pellegrini after yesterday's derby heroics.
Stripped of the club captaincy and urged to find himself a new club over the summer, Pellegrini proved Roma's matchwinner against Lazio on Sunday.
Cristante later reflected: "It was a strong emotion for him, and he deserved it after this summer's ups and downs.
"We're happy as a team, and we're closer to being friends."
He also said: "A fundamental match for us, our fans and the club and three important points in the league.
"Three important points. We were coming off a defeat, and it was important to win to stay up there and keep up with the others."
