Roma want to sign Sancho, Manchester United's asking price is 20 million euros

Without a doubt, this is the name everyone would agree on, from Gasperini to the last of the fans, but perhaps, for this very reason, it's also the most difficult to bring to Trigoria, at least as we write these lines. Because it's been no secret for several hours now how much Roma would love to add the English talent owned by Manchester United, Jadon Sancho, to their squad. A right-footed left winger, who turned 25 in March and was born in the same suburb as Tammy Abraham (Camberwell), the Englishman has had his bags packed for at least a month, but no one has yet found an agreement with the Red Devils. The numbers we're about to list most likely illustrate the difficulties various clubs are having in closing the deal, given that, in addition to Roma, several teams are interested in the player (Chelsea and Inter above all).

Manchester United, acting on behalf of intermediary Matthew Conning, are asking €20 million for the player, despite his contract expiring in June 2026, but that figure could be almost halved by the end of the month. So far, nothing shocking; the "problems" begin with the player's demands and those of his entourage: Sancho is asking for a salary of just over €6 million net, and his agent, Emeka Obasi, is said to have put a request of nearly €10 million in commission on the table. These figures are unlikely to go anywhere. If all this is resolved in the final days of August, then discussions could reopen, perhaps with a loan option if United uses the renewal clause to extend the deal with the winger for another year.

While Sancho is considered a very complex deal, the latest news on Echeverri suggests a deal that has virtually fallen through. Interest in Wolverhampton's Fabio Silva is still alive, but it remains to be seen for how long: Borussia Dortmund and Leipzig are serious and ready to negotiate. Shakhtar Donetsk's Brazilian winger Eguinaldo, whom Massara continues to monitor closely, is more likely to be a deal worth less than €15 million.

Finally, Ziolkowski is still in the details: everything should be settled after mid-August, allowing him to play tomorrow in the Europa League preliminary round against AEK Larnaka.
