Romano: Gyokeres informs club his departure decision & won't return for training

Famous transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Gyokeres has personally informed Sporting CP President of his decision to leave the club and has no intention of playing for the team again. 

Romano stated that Gyokeres directly notified President of his departure, confirming he will not continue his career with Sporting CP. He also reposted news from Portuguese media A Bola, indicating that Gyokeres hopes to start a new chapter. The player feels heartbroken that the team violated a prior "gentleman's agreement," and it is expected that he will not return for training.

According to previous media reports, Gyokeres's agent had allegedly reached a verbal agreement with the club for a transfer fee of €60 million plus €10 million in add-ons, but this claim was denied by Sporting CP's president.
