Ronaldo Nazario names Totti, Maldini & Co. as players should've won Ballon d'Or

Ronaldo Nazario has named the five players who he believes deserved to win the Ballon d'Or but never did.

Having won the prize on two occasions himself, the Brazilian said that it was unfair that these stars had never won the award.

"[Alessandro] Del Piero, [Francesco] Totti, [Paolo] Maldini, Raul Gonzalez... and I think Roberto Carlos, too, because he was twice behind me in the voting," Ronaldo said during a chat with Del Piero.

"I think these players deserved [the Ballon d'Or]."

Raul came close to winning it in 2001, when Michael Owen received the award after clinching a treble with Liverpool.

Maldini almost managed to get it twice in 1994 and 2003, while Del Piero and Totti never made the podium.
