Cristiano Ronaldo could become the first player in history to win the Golden Boot across four different leagues this season.
The Portuguese scored a hat-trick in Al-Nassr's 5-1 thrashing of Al Taee on Saturday, bringing his tally to 26 goals in 23 Saudi Pro League games this term.
With nine league matches left, Ronaldo is four goals clear of Aleksandar Mitrovic in the race to be the Saudi Pro League's top goalscorer this season.
And with the former Fulham striker ruled out for up to six weeks because of a hamstring injury on Monday, it appears almost certain Ronaldo will claim the Pro League's Golden Boot.
Were he to do so, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star would make history as the first player to top the goalscoring charts across four different divisions.
Ronaldo won the Premier League Golden Boot in the 2007-08 season, when he scored 31 goals in 34 appearances for United.
He then claimed the Pichichi Trophy - the award for the top goalscorer in LaLiga - three times for Real Madrid, plundering in 40 goals in 34 appearances in the 2010-11 campaign.
The 39-year-old finished top of the pile in the 2013-14 season with 31 goals in 30 games and the following campaign, when he scored an astonishing 48 times in 35 outings.
Ronaldo was similarly prolific in Italy, claiming the Paolo Rossi Award as the Serie A's top goalscorer in the 2020-21 season, when he finished with 29 league goals.
Luis Suarez and Ruud Van Nistelrooy are the only players along with Ronaldo to have won the Golden Boot across three European leagues.
Suarez claimed the award while playing in the Eredivisie for Ajax in the 2009-10 season and in the Premier League with Liverpool in 2013-14, before collecting the accolade with Barcelona in 2015-16.
Van Nistelrooy won the Golden Boot across the same three divisions, claiming the award in the Eredivise with PSV Eindhoven in the 1998-99 season and the following campaign.
The Dutchman won the Premier League Golden Boot in 2002-03 and was LaLiga's top goalscorer in 2006-07.
Robert Lewandowski won the Pichichi Trophy last season after claiming the Bundesliga Golden Boot in seven separate occasions - twice for Borussia Dortmund and five times for Bayern Munich.
Romario topped the golascorer charts in Holland for PSV Eindhoven for three consecutive seasons between 1988 and 1990, in LaLiga in the 1993-94 seasons and in Brazil in 2005.
Alfredo di Stefano, meanwhile, was the top scorer in Argentina in 1947, in Colombia in 1951 and 1952 and then five times in LaLiga between 1954 and 1959.
More recently, Seydou Doumbia has managed the feat across the Ivory Coast top-flight in 2005, the Swiss Super League in 2009 and 2010 and the Russian Premier League in 2012 and 2014.

It's not CR7 who failed to win the world cup, it's Portugal who couldn't win the world cup. It's not Messi who won the world cup but Argentina who won the world Cup. CR7 scored all those goals and Messi scored all his goals.
