Cristiano Ronaldo scored a spectacular hat-trick for Manchester United to see off Tottenham at Old Trafford and secure a crucial three points.

The Portuguese superstar has now moved onto 807 career goals, surpassing Josef Bican in FIFA's all-time goals list.

The last time he scored three times in a Manchester United shirt was in January 2008 in a 6-0 demolishing of Newcastle United.

Ronaldo had scored just once in his last ten games for the Red Devils before this one, and was also didn't feature in the Manchester derby last weekend as his side lost to Manchester City.

This is, incredibly, the 59th time he has scored a hat-trick in his career, and makes him the second oldest to ever do so in the Premier League, behind Teddy Sheringham.

Ronaldo is now two goals ahead of Bican in the FIFA all-time scoring charts with 807 goals, and is 48 ahead of Lionel Messi, who currently has 759 strikes to his name.

Manchester United currently find themselves in fourth position in the Premier League, two points ahead of Arsenal, but having played four more games than the Gunners.
