Despite reports he'd be included, Cristiano Ronaldo has been left out of the Portugal squad to face Italy & Poland in the Nations League.
Santos has named his squad this afternoon though, with Ronaldo not included.
His Bianconeri teammate Joao Cancelo is in the squad, as is Napoli’s Mario Rui and Joao Mario of Inter.

I think its a nice idea from the coach considering that Cr7 is now getting old and needs rest to be able to be a force in his club side and also good for them to be playing without Cr7 which will be of benefit to them in the near future and never always gonna depend on him even though he is irreplaceable..
