Juventus fans are split over Cristiano Ronaldo’s farewell to the Old Lady, with the Portuguese star who has made a shock return to Manchester United.
The #CristianoRonaldo hashtag has been trending on Twitter for the last 72 hours, with the ex-Juventus superstar first strongly linked with a move to Manchester City before completing a shock return to Old Trafford.
Hundreds of thousands of football fans, especially those supporting Manchester United, City and Juventus have had their say on social media about one of the biggest transfer moves of the summer, if not the biggest one.
Ronaldo spent three seasons at Juventus, scoring 101 goals in 134 appearances with the club, but somehow, some Juventus fans feel he didn’t provide what he was meant to. The Old Lady were eliminated in the Champions League quarter-finals in Ronaldo’s first season in Turin and faced shocked eliminations at the hands of Lyon and Porto in 2020 and 2021.
They even missed out on their tenth straight Serie A title last season, but Ronaldo was the best scorer in Italy’s top flight.
Therefore, Juventus fans are understandably split over Ronaldo’s time in Turin, while it’s hard to find a Manchester United fan who is disappointed to see Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, especially because it means he won’t be wearing the Manchester City shirt.

In football, we have different great players. We have Messi and Ronaldo. You can't deny how great both players are. The one on the right-hand side is Messi while the left side is a Ronaldo

What more do fans want from a player who scored 101 goals in 134 games for a club that couldn't provide good enough players and a proper manager around him to complement his extraordinary abilities??

The hardest thing to achieve in football is consistency, and nobody comes close to these two in that aspect, it’s not even an argument
