Sporting CP were crowned Liga NOS champions on Tuesday night, but there could be more good news on the way for the Lions.
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most famous players to have come from the club's academy and his mother, Dolores Aveiro, an avid Sporting fan, made clear during the title celebrations that she will try to bring the Juventus forward back to the club.
"I'll talk to him [Cristiano] to bring him back," Dolores Aveiro said from her balcony as she spoke to Sporting fans that had taken to the streets to celebrate.
The 36-year-old has one year left on his contract at Juventus, but he has been linked with a departure this summer, with Sporting linked as a possible destination.
