Cristiano Ronaldo's sister Katia Aveiro appeared to claim that her brother's treatment at Manchester United by manager Erik ten Hag is similar to Jesus Christ's crucifixion.
The 37-year-old striker was dropped from the Reds squad to face Chelsea on Saturday evening after he stormed down the tunnel during United's victory over Tottenham Hotspur in midweek.
Ten Hag reacted by axing the Portuguese star from his matchday squad for the clash against the Blues this weekend, with Ronaldo also training alone at Carrington.
Ronaldo's sister, Aveiro, took to Instagram to react to the Dutchman's handling of her brother's situation at Old Trafford, with the singer issuing a thinly-veiled attack on the Reds boss.
"No-one who was born to shine by the hands of God will be undone by someone who has never worn his shoes," she wrote on Instagram.
She also claimed that Ten Hag and the United faithful are "nailing him to the cross" just like Jesus - citing a bible verse alongside photos of her and Ronaldo on social media.
Aveiro wrote: "No-one who was born to shine by the hands of God will be undone by someone who has never worn his shoes.
"He is and will be history. There is a verse in the bible that says: 'This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross.'"
The 45-year-old went on to call the former Real Madrid frontman a warrior who "left home with tears and pain only his loved ones know" to "make a castle out of stones."
She continued: "He fulfilled the promise he made as a 13-year-old boy to his mum and siblings. This is the one whose accent was made fun of and was mocked over his alcoholic dad."
Ronaldo's sister ended her Instagram post by insisting that she felt "privileged to have been born in the same family as this marvellous human being."
It comes after Katia's older sibling, Elma, claimed that 'Karma exists' and warned Ten Hag that 'God never sleeps' in a furious social media post after the United man walked down the tunnel early against Spurs.

cr7's sister's and fans need to understand that there are rules in every institution,no matter how good cr7 has been to football's history he was wrong with that behavior and he ought to be punished, don't just support even wrong thing's, when he smashed a boy's phone you supported, when he throws tantrums for not receiving the ball from teammates you support, when he throws the Captain's armband on the turf for a wrong call by the ref you support, when he comes out and behaves like he is bigger than the club you support....... at the end of the day understand that he is just a human being and when he is wrong then let people speak the truth and criticize regardless of who he is, wrong is wrong and right is right.....

When Pep Guardiola disrespected and humiliated Ronaldinho, the world as a whole hated him for that. But the true Barcelona fans who believed the club is above any Player stood by Pep. Later we saw Pep's decision was the right one. . The same has happened several times in several clubs where a manager has taken some decision against a Legendary player for the sake of the team. . Today such a thing happened with Ronaldo at Man United. We wear this badge because we love and respect the Club that became a religion. No player is bigger than any club. As there are no players who individually played and won something. Football is a team sport.

My brother I hv been a fan or Ronaldo's for a very very long... Nd starting from the day he stepped foot at old Trafford from sporting cp, trust be told with no sentiments wrong is wrong nd right is right... Lets not put our feelings first to what we knw to be right.... Ur write up is on point nd I support u on that my friend... To honest this is the first time in a long time after Ferguson's Era that united has fully backed their manager whc is a right call.... Because one player I repeat no player can ever be bigger than a club, specially if that club made u..... Yeah some may nt see reasons to this but then we re all entitled to our opinions... GGMU
