Wayne Rooney was dancing at David Beckham's house party in 2006 shortly after breaking his metatarsal, KSI's tour manager has claimed.

Rooney fractured the base of his fourth metatarsal in his right foot after colliding with Paulo Ferreira against Chelsea in the final of the month of the 2005/06 season.

His inclusion in Sven-Göran Eriksson's England squad for the World Cup in Germany was put into serious doubt.

'They [England players] were all there,' said John, who set up Beckham's party 'Full Length and Fabulous', on JaackMaate's Happy Hour.

'There's Rooney, and as I say because he'd hurt his toe he couldn't play, to his absolute credit obviously at the time he was one of the best strikers on the planet and the fact that he couldn't go.

'There he was on the dance floor hoofing it away. Me and a load of others were like "what the f***?".

'Really? And yet you can't go put your boots on and do a bit for England - w***er!'

Two days before the final squad was to be announced, Rooney returned home from England's training camp in Germany for a scan which revealed his foot had healed.

He missed England's first group game, made an appearance as sub against Trinidad and Tobago but his tournament ended in tears after he was sent off for stamping on Ricardo Carvalho in the quarter-final.

England stars including Rooney (with then fiancée Coleen McLoughlin), Michael Owen, Ashley Cole, Gary Neville, Frank Lampard, John Terry and Paul Robinson were among the guests.

Other guests included rap mogul P Diddy - who helped chose the music for the after-party party - former Spice Girls Emma Bunton and Melanie Brown, Christian Slater, Will Young and Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne.

England manager Eriksson and his then girlfriend Nancy Dell'Olio were given a late call after initially being left out.

Robbie Williams, James Brown and Julio Iglesias provided the music.

Up for grabs at a charity auction were a £1million diamond Asprey necklace, a limited edition Bentley worth £300,000, a £40,000 Harley-Davidson and £600,000 worth of diamond-encrusted his and hers watches from Jacob & Co.
