Roy Keane has called for Erik ten Hag to 'resign' after broadcasters filmed the Manchester United boss dancing a jig with Lisandro Martinez and Antony.
Ten Hag, who enjoyed success at Ajax with the two players, appeared to rekindle a celebratory dance they had done together during their shared time in Holland.
Interviewing the Dutchman after the game, Sky Sports appeared to do something of a stitch-up job on the United boss, showing the footage of the jig while he was stood next to the likes of Roy Keane, Les Ferdinand and David Ginola.
Keane reacted in typical fashion. 'You should resign after that,' he joked. 'You should resign. Tonight!'
Ten Hag then appeared to explain the origins of the dance, having said 'never' in response to Keane's request.
'I did it before,' Ten Hag said. 'We have history together, we hope we can do it [more].'
Keane, amid his calls for the Dutchman to leave his post as manager of United on the basis of some dodgy moves, also spoke of his admiration for the team, singling out Casemiro, who was named man of the match on the day, for particular praise.
'Look at the players' reaction, the supporters, these players, the manager, they're desperate for this success, it's five, six, seven years for United now, that's a long time.
'They deserved the victory, they were efficient, two good goals. Long way back for Newcastle, they stuck at it, but [for] United hopefully the start of the good days coming back.
'Casemiro is a brilliant player, we knew that, but sometimes you need to see him close up to see how good he is.
'He's adapted to the English game, he's adding goals to his game, he's a big personality, he's won the big prizes before.
'You look at the players' reactions from United it looks like it's the first trophy some of these have won, and these have had huge success in their careers so it goes to show they're happy to be at a big club. I like players to argue, it means they care.'
He added on Newcastle, who had made their first domestic final in 24 years: 'The next step for Newcastle is the hardest one.
'There's expectation now at the club. It's ok getting to a final, but getting your hands on a trophy it's very very difficult. They're certainly on the right path.'
