Manchester United are enduring a woeful season under Ruben Amorim and the Portuguese coach could be set to lose two members of his squad ahead of next season with a huge overhaul on the horizon

Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho will be ‘desperate’ to quit Manchester United this summer, according to Gabriel Agbonlahor. The Red Devils have endured a woeful campaign this term under Ruben Amorim.

The weekend’s humbling defeat to Newcastle has already condemned them to their worst-ever Premier League finish with six matches of the season still to play. A huge overhaul in the summer transfer window is anticipated.

And within that, a number of current stars could be shown the Old Trafford exit door. Agbonlahor believes that some players will certainly be keen to leave the club over the coming months in an effort to get their careers back on track.

Asked why some stars were so unhappy with United, the former Aston Villa striker said to 10bet : “Well, it's common knowledge, isn't it? If you want a top career, you leave Manchester United. That's what it's come to now. It used to be the opposite. You want a top career, you go to Manchester United. Now, if you leave, your career will blossom.

“Look at Elanga. Look at Marcus Rashford at Aston Villa. Then you look at the players at Manchester United. Is it too much pressure? Is it a big club and they can't handle the pressure there? Or is it the negative vibe from top to bottom?

“If I'm Sancho and I get sent back to Manchester United, I'm desperate to leave again because there'll be other players in that squad feeling the same. I bet Garnacho, if you asked him, would love to leave Manchester United, it’s a negative football club who are currently in a bad, bad way.”

Sancho and Garnacho have both endured tricky seasons over the past year. The former was jettisoned for Chelsea at the start of the campaign, the Blues signing him on loan with a £25m obligation to buy.

The 25-year-old has scored on just three occasions, while there have been reports that the Londoners want to back out of the deal. Things haven’t been much better for Garnacho at Old Trafford.

He was cut from the squad by Amorim in December against Manchester City and was strongly linked with a move away from the club the following month. Serie A side Napoli were the most interested in him but were unable to thrash out a deal with United.

Garnacho has scored ten goals for the club this season in all competitions. The 20-year-old is under contract until 2028.
