Ruben Amorim's true feelings on Jadon Sancho emerge after Chelsea pull out of Man Utd deal

Jadon Sancho's future at Manchester United looks uncertain after Chelsea paid £5m to send him back to Old Trafford following an unsuccessful loan spell - and Ruben Amorim has no plans to include him in his squad

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has no plans to reintegrate Jadon Sancho into his at Old Trafford after Chelsea paid £5million to send him back to Old Trafford. The future looks uncertain for the England international after the Blues snubbed the chance to make his loan move permanent.

Sancho, who now looks set for the Saudi Pro League, was mostly a failure at Stamford Bridge after scoring five and assisting four - though one of those goals did come in the UEFA Conference League final win over Real Betis.

Fans have vented their frustration at Sancho for inconsistent form in the top flight and the club have opted not to sign him, even preferring to pay a penalty fee than take him on permanently for £25m.

And any hopes of him turning over a new leaf at United have been dashed, with Amorim not interested in giving him a chance in the team.

Instead, the Portuguese boss is pushing ahead with a deal to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo after landing Wolves star Matheus Cunha.

United must now decide what they want to do with Sancho as they look to drum up interest in the player.

The Red Devils don’t want to have to loan Sancho out for the final year of his contract and see him walk away for nothing next summer. However, the player is not against that idea as he would have the pick of his clubs next summer.

For now, Saudi Arabia looks to be the most likely destination for Sancho. Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr are all interested parties. If United can't strike a deal with a big hitter from the Middle East, they could use the £5m Chelsea paid them to supplement his wages at another club.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca was keep to keep Sancho despite his indifferent form but the club's top brass refused to pay his £300,000-a-week salary.

United still owe Borussia Dortmund around £17m in unpaid fees after snapping him up for £75m in 2021 and the Red Devils will have to improvise in order to get Sancho a new club.

As things stand, very few clubs would be willing to pay Sancho the wages he is after outside of the the Middle East. He has shown by refusing to take a pay cut at Chelsea he still wants to earn what he gets at Old Trafford.
