On Friday, Ruben Dias attended Portugal's routine press conference. In the third part of his remarks (divided into three sections due to length), he addressed criticism directed at Ronaldo and other players.
You mentioned the team might lack composure earlier. You're a composed player who pushes the game's intensity to its limit. From the sidelines, how do you view this situation affecting the whole team?
"First, I didn't say we lacked courage. I think it's more about individual positioning on the field—it's certainly not easy being on the sidelines. It's always my greatest honor to play and help. I trust my teammates and know we're all capable."
I'm sure you've seen Guardiola's farewell video at Manchester City, where people thanked him emotionally for everything he did. Besides winning titles, are you aware of the important role you play in people's lives, creating positive memories, especially having played in different places?
"That's true. From the national team's perspective, I think we're all very aware of what we mean to the country and our fans. We know the vast fan base we represent because we were all children once."
"Now we have influence and the ability to convey the right message and live the right way. I think we all understand this power and will do our best to use it appropriately."
Do you think Portugal should adjust its style of play to break through tight defenses?
"Although it was a bit rushed, I managed to participate in one of the season's most important matches. I always stick to the principles I mentioned: positioning is decisive. I think we need the team to maintain its strength and strive for better positions."
"Constantly improving in different environments, we believe we have the strength to win this championship. We've observed all competitors, and if you watched their opening matches, you'll understand we now know our goals, our strength, and the level we want to achieve."
"But we must translate these into actual performance. We feel we haven't fully realized our potential, and I think we must work hard and keep improving. Portugal is a strong contender, which relates to my view on positioning: if we perform well, we'll be very dangerous."
Will you follow Bernardo Silva's footsteps and join Real Madrid?
"Portugal."
During major tournaments, many players sign with new clubs. What psychological impact does this have?
"At press conferences, when you ask such questions, I answer 'Portugal,' and there are basically no problems."
A player of your caliber naturally receives significant attention. After the draw with Democratic Republic of Congo, do you think focusing attention on one player is good or bad, as it relieves pressure on others?
"I don't think there's anything inherently good or bad about it. Each of us, including Ronaldo, is already accustomed to media pressure from clubs, national teams, and international competitions."
"Nothing new is happening. Even in difficult situations, everyone deals with challenges from within their comfort zone. I see this as a good opportunity."
"I've never seen low points or difficulties as insurmountable obstacles, but as steps to climb. This is an opportunity for us to become better and stronger."
Is the Portuguese team growing with more key players? Is this team the most capable of going further?
"The answer comes from competition. If we don't feel it on the field, just believing is meaningless—it comes from overcoming difficulties. We know what players we have. What's important is improving every game, building that feeling within ourselves, and then boosting our confidence."

Ronaldo fans must stop attacking other Portuguese players. They are increasing pressure on the team. You may love Ronaldo but have limits. Imagine attacking Bruno and others because of the poor performance of Portugal? Some even went furniture to include the girlfriend of Neves. What does the poor performance of Portugal have to do with someone's wife, girlfriend or family? Can you imagine wishing death to Bruno ? I don't know who bewitches some football fans.

Kindly ignore the media and focus on playing as an impenetrable team. The media is a distractive illusion flooded with hungry journalists who promote lies just to put food on their family's table. Ignore them!!!
