According to FCinter1908, Sabatini discussed the recent warm-up matches between Internazionale and Milan in the "SportMediaset" studio.

Internazionale defeated Betis 1-0, and Milan beat Manchester United 4-2, with both teams preparing for their league debuts. Chivu's team will depart from San Siro on the afternoon of the 22nd, wearing the Serie A champion's badge, to face Monza; Milan, on the other hand, will not play in the Champions League, and will face Torino in their first Serie A match. After the appointment of new coach Amorim, they are considered one of the contenders in Italian football.

In the "Mediaset" studio, Sabatini responded to a question from host Monica Bertini about the gap in the Milan derby. Bertini asked: "Is Internazionale currently the strongest team in Italy? If so, how big do you think the gap is between them and Milan? Because Milan played a good team against Manchester United."

Sabatini briefly replied: "As of this afternoon, I would say the gap is big and obvious. However, against Manchester United, Milan indeed played a lot of good things and had a lot of good attacking combinations. Most importantly, two players rediscovered their form: Chukwueze and Loftus-Cheek. And the presence of Gonçalo Ramos, who provided a strong fulcrum. However, there is still a big gap between Internazionale and Milan. One was first last season, the other fifth, and if you include other teams, I think this gap still exists."
