Saka injury scare for Arsenal after forward limps off after heavy challenge

England boss Gareth Southgate faces an anxious wait after Arsenal star Bukayo Saka limped off in Saturday's goalless draw at Brighton.

The 20-year-old forward left the field holding the back of his leg following a heavy challenge in the last minute at the AMEX stadium.

Saka was replaced by Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Saka is due to join up with England this week for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Hungary.

And Southgate will be hoping for a positive prognosis.

High-flying Brighton missed the chance to go level on points with Premier League leaders Chelsea following a drab goalless draw which ended resurgent Arsenal's winning run.

Albion edged a rain-soaked encounter at the Amex Stadium but managed just two attempts on target as Leandro Trossard, Dan Burn and Neal Maupay each failed to capitalise on decent openings.
