The Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco from December 21st to January 18th, 2026, with 24 teams participating.
The tournament will consist of six groups, with Egypt in Group B alongside South Africa, Angola, and Zimbabwe.
The Egyptian Football Association has reached an agreement to hold a friendly match between the Egypt and Nigeria on December 14th at Cairo International Stadium, as part of their preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations.
WinWin has learned that Hossam Hassan hopes to have all his players available for the match against Nigeria, including Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah and Manchester City striker Omar Marmoush.
A source explained that despite Hossam Hassan's desire to have Salah and Marmoush play against Nigeria, it is unlikely he will be able to include them in the Egyptian national team camp before the match.
Salah will be committed to playing for Liverpool against Brighton in the English Premier League on December 13th, while Marmoush will face Crystal Palace with Manchester City on December 14th.
