Mohamed Salah has beaten Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo to the 2018 Puskas Award with his strike against Everton after winning 38% votes.
With snow falling to set a dramatic scene in a game which needs no extra theatre, Mo Salah conjured a moment of artistic brilliance that would have looked at home on the finest of stages.
The ‘Egyptian King’, as he has been dubbed by the Liverpool faithful, controlled the ball exquisitely after receiving a pass on the Reds’ right from Joe Gomez and immediately wriggled free of Cuco Martina – spinning clear of his marker before dribbling into the penalty area.

Then came the moment that stole the show, a curling left-footed shot that finished high inside the far corner of Jordan Pickford’s net. The goal was not just aesthetically pleasing, but hugely important, helping the red half of Merseyside claim a point in a 1-1 draw against their bitter rivals.
Fans from around the world had their say and chose Salah’s superb effort as the winner of the 2018 FIFA Puskás Award.
The ten nominees for the FIFA Puskas Award are as below:

Ronaldo and Bale's goals are goals that deserved the awards too but remember it's voting and Mo Salah's goal was equally magnificent

😂😂😂 really no better goal than that this year...there is only three things that can explain this: 1. goals were boring last season, 2. There was a technical problem when revealing the winning goal, putting this by mistake 3. Fifa is really high on cheap weed

Congratulations Mo Salah. Not only was he a consistent scorer last season, he also scored worldies. In particular, I think of his winning goal and his goal against Roma. Many others too.

Realistically, comparing Messi's performance in 2017/2018 with that of Salah's, which of them deserved nomination? MESSI like Salah had to perform magic with hattrick against Ecuador to make sure that Argentina qualified for the world cup! MESSI outscored every player in Europe, which won him both the pichichi and the European golden boot awards; Salah only won EPL golden boot!! MESSI won two trophies last season, Laliga and Copa del rey; Mohammed Salah won no trophy with his team!!! Eventhough Both players failed at the world cup, MESSI managed to reach the quarter finals with Argentina, a feet better than Salah's group stage exit with Egypt!!! Yes Salah performed better and scored more goals in only the Uefa Champions league than MESSI; but generally, did Salah outperformed MESSI??? Considering the outlined realities??? I really think both Uefa and Fifa are losing credibility!!!
