Alexis Sanchez is ready to sit tight and see out the remaining two years of his £400,000-a-week Manchester United contract in order to avoid a pay cut, according to reports.
The Chilean is currently on loan at Inter Milan and his future at Old Trafford is all-but-over, with the club desperate to sell him in the summer.
But, according to ESPN, while Sanchez is also keen to cut short his United nightmare, he does not want to take a wage cut and is willing to see out the remainder of his deal without playing another game for the club.
United are currently still paying a portion of Sanchez's wages while he plays for Inter Milan, but they will go back to paying the full £400k-a-week pay packet when he returns from his stint in Serie A.
It has been reported that United are aware his astronomical wages may make it hard to find a buyer in the summer, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been told he may have to include Sanchez in his squad for next season.
Since arriving from Arsenal, Sanchez has played 45 for United, scoring just five goals in a disastrous spell.
At Inter, meanwhile, injury has restricted him to just 15 appearances and he has netted a single goal.
West Ham are also interested in signing Sanchez, according to reports, but his wages may prove to be a stumbling block in that move too.

Manchester United I can't understand them, they pay 400k per week for a useless player😠😠, that can't even contribute anything to the club. Even Chong is much better than him from my look

Of course he is. 350k a week with rising bonus to 500k no player is dumb enough to give that up when they are flopping. United made the mistake and now they got to accept that and see it out. Given his wages and age no one would buy him so United are stuck with him.
