Argentina national team coach Scaloni expressed in the press conference his desire to invite a European team to participate in the Copa America.
Speaking about comparing the European Cup and the Copa America, Scaloni said, "I don't think one tournament is harder than the other. There are important teams in the Euro semi-finals, and we have faced them in the World Cup and performed well against them. It doesn't mean we could go to the Euros and win... or it could be the other way around. The level is similar between these two tournaments. I would like to invite a European team to participate in the Copa America and see how it goes. Vice versa. It's like the World Cup (laughs)."

The FIFA ranking is just the sum of goals achieved and the subtraction of goals conceded. If a team scores more goals, it accumulates more points, resulting in higher rankings. The only things that distinguish European teams from South American sides are their FIFA rankings, media coverage, language, market, and transmission. Poland, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Serbia, and other countries are unlikely to outperform Peru, Paraguay, Chile, Venezuela, and Bolivia. South America does not have teams like San Marino, Gibraltar, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Armenia, North Macedonia, Romania, Andorra, Albania, Malta, Cyprus, Latvia, Montenegro, Norway, Moldova, the Faroe Islands, Belarus, Estonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Finland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, the Northern Islands, Kosovo, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and the Republic of Ireland, making it challenging to pick up points. Lukaku, Lewandowski, and Ferenc Puska have scored more goals than PELE and Maradona, demonstrating the difficulty of scoring in South American football. Of course, I agree that European has between seven and ten elite teams, but South America remains remarkably competitive in football. Yes, we know that European teams have won 12 World Cups, two more than South American nations. However, had the FIFA granted the same number of South American teams as Europe's to compete in the World Cup, I believe South American football teams would have won as many, if not more, trophies. If you're not aware, the Copa America is older than the Euro Cup and the FIFA World Cup. Yes, it is. Pele, the player who has won the most World Cups three times, and Maradona, the icon, both failed to take home the Copa America, demonstrating the Copa America's tenacity. Which continent won the 2016 and 2021 Finalissima? Yes, South American teams. Let's see who takes home the silverware this time.

How come, you guys can be here saying that copa America is not a good competition. First of all they go to quarterfinals because of the number of teams, they can’t manage it differently, African cup also was like that for many years. The advantage of Euro is that, they have more teams and even in world cup, european teams are more represented with more chance to win the competition but teams like Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil manage to win it. You have all mocked messi because he failed for many years to win the copa America but since he won it. Copa America is become useless for ronaldo fan. Take it easy and don’t compare as a fan but because you love football

Don't make a mountain out of a mole hill; in the last 20 years, the Copa America has played eight and the Euro Cup has played six. The 2016 Copa America commemorated the centenary of CONMOBEL. Messi has participated in seven tournaments, compared to Ronaldo's six in Europe.

on point. I don't know why people feel the euro is harder than copa America, yet when they all meet in the world cup, a Copa America team has the most trophy, it's just like people saying Epl is the best league in the world but when all teams meet during champions league, a Spanish team has 15 trophy, and yet no English team has 7. Guys it's just the hype and because it has more television coverage.

The reason why people feel that the Euro tornament is harder than the Copa America it's because of Lionel Messi It seems like everything that Lionel Messi have won have lost credibility😂 In fact i do remember when cr5 and his crying girls when mocking they were mocking Messi for failing to win the Copa America with Argentina🇦🇷 But since 2021 when Messi managed to win it, they're all shamelessly saying the Euros and Africa Cup are much harder than Copa America They have even discredited the World Cup as well jst because Lionel Messi have won it

Italy have 4world cups, Germany 4, England 1, Spain 1, Brazil 5, Argentina 3, Uruguay 1. Euro still has more World Cup in total than copa America teams.
it is a flawed logic... europe has 50 teams.. where south america has 10 3 of 10 SA Teams won it .. where as 4of 50+ European teams won...

The only reason why European competition beats COPA AMERICA is coverage and this coverage is not because of money but because of LOCATION. Europe is lucky that its matches can be played when the whole world is watching while Copa America is played when many people in many parts of the world are sleeping

urguay twice, argentina have three title brazil have 5 title.. just leave 2 title with euros.. the problem why euro dominated wc is the quota for euro country more much than south and north America..north america quota only 4 country and south america only 5 country + play off quota...
