Scholes: Manchester United board needs to bring in Conte to shake up the club

Paul Scholes believes Manchester United should appoint Antonio Conte now, even if it's only a short-term arrangement. Nicky Butt countered that Manchester United's executives lack the ability to do so, and that Conte is too hot-headed.

Paul Scholes: "I think Antonio Conte is far ahead of everyone else."

"Right? At Juventus, and then he went to Napoli, who weren't expected to win the league title."

"I know, I know he's emotional,"

"Even a bit crazy, but when it comes to coaches who have succeeded at big clubs, he's far and away the best. I think he can get us back to where we belong."

Nicky Butt: "But I think this partnership would only be short-term. History has proven that."

Paul Scholes: "I don't care if it's short-term. I'm telling you, even if he only stays for eighteen months and then leaves, I don't care."

"Even if he only stays for eighteen months, if he can get the team into contention for the league title, I'd be satisfied."

Nicky Butt: "I don't think the club is ready to accept such a manager. The executives won't accept his coaching style. They simply don't want someone like him."
