Scotland fans break World Cup noise record at 125 decibels

According to The Times, Scottish fans set a record for cheering noise in their opening FIFA World Cup match against Haiti.

During the match against Haiti in Boston, cheers from the Scotland "Croatia" fans reached 125 decibels, a volume described as equivalent to standing next to a jackhammer or being close to an exploding firecracker.
