ALEX SCOTT received a mixed reception from football fans as she presented the draw for the Women's Champions League's group phase.

The pundit and former Champions League winner stunned in a sleek black outfit at the event.

Fans were watching along in anticipation to find out who Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United would face in the competition.

One X user commented on her fashionable appearance, saying: "Alex Scott bringing aura to the stage."

But her appearance was the last thing on the mind of Chelsea fans, who blamed the Arsenal legend for their tough draw, which including an absolute horror tie.

Even before the draw, some fans of the West London outfit were convinced her presence was a bad omen.

A Blues fan said: "Alex Scott doing the champions league draw.. oh guys we're F***ED."

Another fan took issue with Scott backing Chelsea to do well, saying: "Alex scott saying chelsea are the team to watch, they're 100000% trying to jinx us this year."

Chelsea enjoyed a dominant year last season, cruising to an unbeaten Women's Super League campaign and a domestic treble.

But fans were hoping for a comfortable start to their Champions League campaign following their spectacular exit from the competition last year, when they lost 8-2 on aggregate to runners-up Barcelona.

But that hope would prove to be in vain, with Sonia Bompastor's side being drawn against Barcelona once again, as well as women's powerhouse Wolfsburg and Italian giants Roma.

One fan complained about the draw, saying: "I blame Alex Scott for this."

But the draw was music to the ears of Arsenal fans, who thanked their club legend for handing their London rivals such a hard set of games.

One Gunners fan said: "Alex Scott understood her assignment, she drew Chelsea to play Barcelona in their group stage."

And another ecstatic supporter said: "also chelsea getting barca? ALEX SCOTT I LOVE U."

The North Londoners will begin their European title defence with a tricky draw themselves.

They will face several titans of the women's game, including OL Lyonnes first, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

United were given a star-studded draw, going up against names such as Lyonnes, PSG, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
