Serena: Amorim needs time, Milan still full of question marks

Former Milan player Serena recently accepted an interview with Tuttosport, during which he shared his thoughts on the Rossoneri.

"I think Milan needs to move past the loss to Chelsea. I want to emphasize that Maignan, Rabiot, and Pulisic were all absent, and Hila was also injured. Modrić and Gonçalo Ramos were also not ready for the game."

"Amorim needs time: when a new coach comes to a team but inherits the same squad as last season, it's difficult for players to quickly grasp different philosophies. For the Portuguese, the backbone of the team is not yet in place. Conceptually, the transition from Allegri to Amorim is a huge change."

"Does Milan lack players suitable for Amorim's football philosophy? I don't think so. I'll take Pulisic as an example. When he gets in shape, he will be very suitable for Amorim's requirements on both offense and defense. Of course, now the coach must make selections, clear out some people, and then hope to bring in one or two new players: it's time to make decisions. Milan is still full of question marks, and ultimately, it largely depends on Amorim's ability to make the players understand his ideas. Today it's hard to say what this Rossoneri team truly is, and how far they can go."
