Manchester United and Liverpool are among the sides keeping tabs on Serge Gnabry amid his contract stand-off with Bayern Munich, according to reports in Germany.
Gnabry, 26, has developed into one of European football's most talented wingers since heading to Bayern in 2018, just three years after Tony Pulis declared he was 'not at the required level' to play for West Brom in the Premier League.
The former Arsenal star has registered 59 goals and 44 assists in 154 games for Bayern, a return which has helped them win three Bundesliga titles, two DFB-Pokals and the Champions League.
This season he has been in fine form, with his tally of 12 goals in all competitions making him the German champions' second top scorer behind Robert Lewandowski (23).
As a result, Bayern are determined to tie Gnabry down to a new contract after the player entered the final 18 months of his current deal in January.
Yet Sky Germany are reporting that Allianz Arena officials have so far failed to meet his salary demands, meaning a host of top European clubs are now circling.
English duo United and Liverpool, along with Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, are waiting in the wings to pounce if they do not tie Gnabry down to an extension by the summer.
The summer window would represent Bayern's final opportunity to cash in on the Germany international before he can sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club in January 2023.
It is believed Gnabry and Bayern remain far apart in negotiations, as the former is determined to earn as much as team-mates Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane, who both rake in an estimated £13million per year.
Bayern are said to be confident of extending his stay in Munich until 2026 or 2027, while Gnabry himself wants to stay put at the Allianz, however should that fail to materialise the likes of United and Liverpool will be ready to make their move.
Gnabry started his career in England with Arsenal, scoring just one goal in 18 appearances before sealing a switch to Werder Bremen in 2016.
Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann recently said about his contractual situation: 'I would wish for nothing more than that he would extend.'
