Andreas Pereira will miss at least one month of action due to the injury he suffered in Thursday's Copa del Rey match at the Camp Nou, where Sergi Roberto planted a high boot on the young midfielder's leg.
He was replaced during that cup semi-final first leg and then tested on Friday.
"The player shows a post traumatic strain in the vastus intermediate, with a intramuscular bruise and a contusion in his left thigh," a Valencia club statement explained.
As well as missing the return leg against Barcelona, Pereira will also miss Valencia's upcoming LaLiga matches against Atletico Madrid, Levante, Malaga and Real Sociedad.

in footbal , there is nothing like clean player or unintentional foul...foul is foul whether intentional or not!!!!!
my friend if you don't know football and understand refereeing decisions just ask and don't just talk...do referees whistle for a penalties anytime a ball hits an opponent's hand in the 18 yard box?...the answer is NO..simply because intention counts in such a scenario and also whether the opponent could have gotten his hand out of the way of the ball...why don't referees give it just because it hit the hand of an opponent in the 18 yard box?....intention matters when cards are involved if you don't know...a foul may be given but as to which card should be shown, intention and motive comes in....
