Sergio Aguero invited a young Manchester City fan with cancer into his house on Thursday and gifted him with a signed shirt and pair of football boots.

Callum Foy, 10, has the rare condition neurofibromatosis which causes tumours to grow anywhere in his body.

He is currently having treatment for a cancerous tumour on his neck and is scheduled to fly Germany in September for up to 10 weeks worth of care. He also has an inoperable tumour on his brain which is not malignant but will need to be treated with chemotherapy.

But for a short while, he was able to forget about that as he met with one of his City heroes.

Callum posed for photographs outside Aguero's house before heading inside to be greeted by the Argentina striker.

There, Aguero signed a pair of boots for him and had pictures taken alongside the family.

He also handed Callum a signed Manchester City shirt and showed him some of the mementos he has from his career, such as match balls signed by the squad for scoring a hat-trick.

There is a fundraising page setup for those who wish to make a donation to help Callum's family cover the cost of their time in Germany.

Aguero will be back in action for City in Saturday's early Premier League kick-off away to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 30-year-old has had a fast start to the season, scoring five times in three games including a hat-trick in City's 6-1 win over Huddersfield last weekend.
