Sergio Ramos is into his second tournament in Liga MX, having signed with Monterrey’s Rayados in February 2025. The legendary Spanish center-back has already featured in numerous matches, though he has yet to face every team in Mexico’s top flight.

Since arriving in Monterrey, Ramos has squared off against most of the league’s marquee clubs, including the “Big Four” - Club América, Chivas, Cruz Azul, and Pumas - as well as participating in the heated Clásico Regio against Tigres.

So far, Ramos has taken the field against 10 Liga MX teams across the Clausura 2025 and the ongoing Apertura campaign. In addition to the aforementioned giants, he’s faced Atlético San Luis, Santos Laguna, León, Pachuca, and Atlas.

Who hasn’t Ramos faced in Liga MX?

Still, the Rayados captain has seven opponents left to check off his list - a feat he could accomplish this semester, provided he remains fit and available for selection. He’s set to cross one more name off soon, with Monterrey hosting Mazatlán at Estadio BBVA on Sunday, August 17.

It’s worth noting that Ramos missed several matches last semester due to injury, suspension, and fitness conditioning. When he first arrived, the club opted for a tailored training regimen to get him back to peak form after roughly nine months of inactivity. So far in the second half of 2025, Ramos has been consistently available, featuring in the Club World Cup, Leagues Cup, and Liga MX without missing time due to physical setbacks.
