Shakira on her relationship with Pique: We've never been a traditional couple

Both celebrities in their own right, Shakira and Gerard Pique's relationship has never been one that most couples can relate to.

With her a famous singer and him a top-level footballer, they've spent their lives at the centre of public attention.

"We've never been a traditional couple," Shakira said in an interview with Clarin.

"It's not that we have a written agreement to share tasks. But we're both parents and are very involved.

"We support each other and give so much to our family. We don't know another way to do it.

"Sometimes it's hard when you can't see your children for a month or more, but we FaceTime a lot so we're constantly communicating."
