Following Manchester United's defeat in the Manchester Derby, the Manchester Evening News has compiled an update on the recovery status of the Red Devils' injured players.
Baleba
Baleba suffered an ankle injury during pre-season before joining Manchester United and has yet to make his debut for the club.
Carrick confirmed last month that Baleba would be sidelined for approximately three more weeks, though it remains unclear whether the midfielder will return this week.
"He has a minor ankle problem and might be out for another two or three weeks," Carrick said in an interview with reporters on August 28.
"We'll see. We knew about this injury beforehand; it's not a serious issue. It will definitely be good to have him back when he recovers."
Potential return date: September 20 away at Fulham
Shaw
Potential return date: September 15 at home against Brighton
Amad Diallo
Amad Diallo Traore has not featured for Manchester United this season after sustaining an injury during pre-season. Manchester United has not yet announced when the Ivorian international will return to the matchday squad.
Potential return date: Unknown
De Ligt
De Ligt has been unavailable since November of last year due to a back injury and is now in the latter stages of his recovery.
De Ligt has resumed training, but Carrick stated that Manchester United are being cautious about reintegrating the defender into the matchday squad.
Potential return date: Unknown
Ugarte
Ugarte suffered a serious knee injury during the World Cup and is expected to be sidelined for several months. The specific return date for the Uruguayan international has not yet been confirmed.
Potential return date: Unknown
Heaton
Heaton sustained a hamstring injury in training, and Manchester United has not confirmed the expected duration of his absence.
Potential return date: Unknown
