Sir Alex Ferguson has made his first appearance since suffering a brain haemorrhage in May, issuing a public statement via Manchester United to thank the medics who took care of him and supporters for their well wishing.
United issued an official statement by the legendary boss on their website, along with a video on their social media channels.
In the short clip Ferguson appeared a picture of health, and made a direct address to the camera.
'Just a quick message, first of all, to thank the medical staff at Macclesfield, Salford Royal and Alexandra Hospitals,' said Ferguson.
'Believe me without those people who gave me such great care, I would not be sitting here today, so thank you from me and my family, thank you very much.
'It's made me feel so humble as all the messages I've had from all over the world, wishing me the best, and the good wishes do resonate very, very strongly with me so thank you for that support you've given me.
'Lastly I'll be back later this season to watch the team and in the meantime all the best to Jose and the players. Thank you very much.

I'm a Liverpool fan, but this is fantastic news that he's recovering...he may be the biggest rival our club has ever had, but more importantly he's a extremely decent man and a legend of the game! Let's hope he makes a full recovery very soon!
