Liverpool look set to win the Premier League title this season but there could be some stunning signings in the pipeline at Anfield this summer as the Reds aim to keep a hold of their out-of-contract stars.

Liverpool could have a huge summer ahead of them as Arne Slot aims to defend the Premier League. The Reds have not even claimed this season’s title but it only seems a matter of time until they are confirmed as champions.

And once that happens, attention will turn to next season, with some big signings potentially in the pipeline. A host of current Liverpool stars including Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all out of contract this summer but the Reds have not lost hope on keeping each of the trio.

But should that not happen, they might have to dip into the market. There have already been a few names linked with moves to Anfield months before the window opens.

But what could Liverpool’s XI look like should they make those moves? Mirror Football takes a look…

Starting in goal, Arne Slot is left with a tricky decision with three potential number ones on his hands. Brazilian stopper Alisson is his first choice for now, with Caoimhin Kelleher his back-up - albeit he could leave ahead of next season. Giorgi Mamardashvili is set to arrive on Merseyside in the summer and will challenge Alisson but the latter should remain between the sticks for now.

Moving into defence, there should be a few changes. The first will potentially be at right-back, with Alexander-Arnold seemingly primed for a move to Real Madrid. Liverpool have regularly been linked with Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong, who could be drafted in as a replacement.

Liverpool could also potentially move for his teammate Pedro Hincapie, who may replace Ibrahima Konate at the heart of defence. Meanwhile, there could also be a new face at left-back in the form of Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez, who has been linked with a move to Anfield after his standout performances on the South Coast.

One talking point is also the future of Virgil van Dijk, who is out of contract at Anfield. But club chiefs are reportedly hopeful of him extending his stay on Merseyside.

While there could be sweeping changes within the backline, the same might not be said in midfield. Liverpool have already invested heavily into the heart of their team, with Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister key players, while Ryan Gravenberch has now established himself at Anfield.

It’s in attack where there could be some very serious alterations. With Kerkez already donning a Liverpool shirt, the Reds could choose to raid Bournemouth once again for forward Antoine Semenyo.

Liverpool could potentially put themselves to the front of the queue for Semenyo with a potential swap deal involving Ben Doak. On the topic of players Liverpool are leading the race for, the Reds are reportedly among the front-runners for former Spurs star Harry Kane.

He is apparently ready to return to the Premier League, something that Liverpool could certainly offer him. And should that be the case, he would assemble a stunning goalscoring partnership alongside Mo Salah, who Liverpool are still hoping they can keep at Anfield.

Potential Liverpool XI: Alisson; Kerkez, Van Dijk, Hincapie, Frimpong; Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Salah, Semenyo, Kane.
