Wesley Sneijder has claimed that he could've been as good as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo if he'd taken himself more seriously while playing.
The Dutchman, now retired, was once at Real Madrid but enjoyed the most successful years of his career at Inter.
"I could've been like Messi or Ronaldo," Sneijder told gianlucadimarzio.com.
"I simply didn't feel like it. I enjoyed life.
"I might've had a drink with my dinner and those details were the difference.
"Leo and Cristiano are different. They've made lots of sacrifices.
"That's fine by me - my career, despite this, was incredible."

Both has made sacrifices in their football, one was begging for food at McDonalds, the other wasn't signed by any club because of his height. But look at them now, they are now football biggest icons in history, and they would be remembered for everything they have done.
