Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly prepared to sell five players this summer as part of an overhaul.
According to Manchester Evening News, Solskjaer is looking to sell Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard, Andreas Pereira, Chris Smalling and Alexis Sanchez when the transfer window re-opens.
Solskjaer is looking to ensure that there is room in his squad to bring in new signings and Jones, who has made just two Premier League appearances this season, could be amongst those to depart.
Jones is one of the longest-serving players at United and in 2013 Sir Alex Ferguson claimed that the centre-back could become one of the club's greatest ever stars.
However, he has often struggled for form and fitness and could see his time at the club come to an end.
Lingard, meanwhile, has fallen down the pecking order at United and has often struggled to make an impact when he has been called upon, as evidenced by the fact that he has mustered just two goals in all competitions.
Andreas Pereira has made 37 appearances for United this season but, like Lingard, has often been underwhelming, and it wouldn't be a major surprise if the midfielder was to move on to pastures new.
Chris Smalling has enjoyed a new lease of life on loan at Roma and the centre-back could end up joining the Serie A side on a permanent basis.
Alexis Sanchez is poised to return to United when his loan deal at Inter Milan expires at the end of June.
It is difficult to envisage the winger having a future at Old Trafford, though, and he could also leave, although his £500,000-a-week wages could be an obstacle to any potential transfer.
If United manage to sell the aforementioned players, the money raised could be used as part of a deal for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
Leicester midfielder James Maddison has also been heavily linked with a move to United along with Aston Villa star Jack Grealish.

Paul pogba not included why? But among these players I think Andreas Pereira doesn't want to move out of Old Trafford. He promised Solskjaer to improve on his performance.

Ole, come climb on my back and if Raiola keeps sticking his nose into Pogba's future at ManUtd, please add him and get someone willing to play for us.

We have young players but they haven’t been tested in EPL yet and going in with only them as cover would make us Arsenal. To ease pressure we need good cover. CM - Bruno Fernandes, Fred only 2 prime age players. Pogba is a clown who is better of leaving. That leaves Matic as the only other experienced player. We can’t go into a season with 3 experienced midfielders and hope to achieve anything while we rely on youth for cover. Midfield needs strengthening badly at United. Our midfield looks worse then about 10 other EPL teams right now. That’s pathetic. Def - Harry, Victor, Eric will be the only 3 remaining CB with EPL experience. We have youngsters but definitely need a 4th CB with experience in the team. - In my opinion if we let all the ppl go according to this article and consider Pogba leaves as well We need 2 CM (1 DM, 1 CM), 1 FB (Preferably Right sided to compete with AWB), 1 Wing/WF and 1 Striker (hopefully that will be Ighalo because he really gives his all for the team and it’s hard to buy that) These signings could help Utd become title challengers once again.
