Son Heung-min says Wednesday's Europa League final will be "the biggest day of my life" as he aims to lead Tottenham to glory against Manchester United.
The two sides, who sit 16th and 17th in the Premier League, are looking to salvage silverware from their hugely underwhelming seasons with victory in Bilbao.
Tottenham will travel to Bilbao following Friday's 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa, in which they registered just a single shot on target before falling to their record-equalling 25th loss of the campaign in all competitions.
It was an eighth reverse in 11 league games for Spurs, though Son returned to the starting line-up for the first time since their Europa League quarter-final first leg against Eintracht Frankfurt on April 10.
The skipper, who returned as a substitute against Crystal Palace last weekend, got 74 minutes under his belt to build fitness ahead of what will be his third final with Tottenham.
Son was part of the side that were beaten in the 2018-19 Champions League final by Liverpool, as well as Manchester City in the EFL Cup final two years later.
The 32-year-old will hope to make it third time lucky in his 10th season at the club. Not only would it be Spurs' first silverware in 17 years, but also the maiden trophy of Son's career.
"At the end of the day, we can win a trophy, that's what we're all looking for," he told BBC Sport.
"Wednesday will be the biggest day of my life. It will be great. We will be excited, and I hope we can make history."
The showdown marks the first all-English Europa League final since an Eden Hazard-inspired Chelsea beat Arsenal 4-1 in the 2018-19 showpiece in Baku.
Spurs will be looking to win the competition for the third time, adding to their UEFA Cup triumphs in 1971-72 and 1983-84.

Son has overstayed his time at Tottenham, that’s it.
no because sometimes it meant to players to wait maybe 10 years or more for trophies and become legends of the club
