David Moyes has revealed that the PGMOL have seemingly accepted Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall should not have been awarded a yellow card against neither Liverpool nor West Ham United.
The decisions to book the new Everton recruit have come under much scrutiny with Dewsbury-Hall now ruled out for the Toffees' clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday after picking up five yellow cards.
In the Merseyside derby, he was incredibly booked by Darren England for taking a quick free-kick, prompting a frustrated response from talesman Jack Grealish. Recalling the decision, the Englishman admitted: 'I've never heard of that in my life.'
Then at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday against the Hammers, now managed by Nuno Espirito Santo, referee Sam Barrett handed Dewsbury-Hall a card for a challenge on Kyle Walker-Peters. Replays however later revealed that the Toffees man clearly won the ball.
Everton have since raised concerns over the calls with the PGMOL who, Moyes revealed on Friday, have conceded that Dewsbury-Hall should not have been carded on either occasion.
Speaking ahead of the fixture against the Eagles, Moyes said: 'We have spoken to them, I think they are accepting that both yellow cards were wrong.
'It is amazing. If you look through his history, I think he only had six bookings last year in total, five the year before. He has never had these numbers at all.
'The last two decision (against Liverpool and West Ham) were terrible - more for the boy. We are going to miss him greatly but he has been back playing regularly and enjoying his football.'
Dewsbury-Hall made the move to the Toffees on a five-year deal for £28million from Chelsea in the summer. He'd enjoyed a rather dismal year in west London, struggling for opportunities under Enzo Maresca.
Posting on X after he was handed his ban, the former Leicester City man fumed: 'Forgive me if I'm wrong, and I might be, but some of these decisions are hard to take. Mind boggling.'
Everton have enjoyed an impressive start to the season leaving them in ninth place after six games.
They face a high-flying and unbeaten Crystal Palace side at home on Sunday, who sit in third position in the Premier League.

I'm not sure why but I've always admired Moyes. It's a pity he doesn't win trophies
