Alejandro Garnacho is in two minds over which national team he should represent, according to reports.
It is believed that the forward was left 'disappointed' after being left out of Argentina's World Cup squad following some last minute drop-outs.
Now it seems like he could be putting on the red of Spain instead of the white and blue of Argentina when the international break comes around.
Garnacho made his debut at the end of last season, in United's 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford.
The 18-year-old hasn't looked back since, impressing ten Hag this season and becoming a key player for the Red Devils with his directness, pace and passion.
The Mirror claim that Garnacho is considering a U-turn when it comes to his allegiances at international level.
Manchester United's no.49, who scored the killer goal in a 2-0 victory over Leeds at Elland Road last weekend, previously represented Spain's U-18 team three times.
He did however, choose to switch and play with the Argentina U-20 team last season, which he is eligible for through his Argentinian Mother despite being born in Spain.
The winger still hasn't made a senior appearance for Argentina though, meaning that he is still able to switch allegiances if he chooses to.
Following the last minute drop-outs from the Argentina World Cup squad, Garnacho was up to replace one of the injured players, though in the end Thiago Almada was picked to go to Qatar instead.
Due to this, he has reportedly been in contact with Spain officials.
They have been impressed with his performance this season, and watched the starlet in Thursday's thrilling 2-2 draw vs Barcelona at Camp Nou.
Spain are ready to give Garnacho senior caps at the first opportunity, something Argentina failed to do.
Garnacho may even be able to play for Spain in the upcoming Eurp 2024 qualifiers against sides such as Scotland and Norway.
This new Spanish side are building for the future after failing to reach the quarter finals of the 2022 World Cup, being knocked out by Morocco on penalties after a 0-0 draw.

If he has doubt go and play for Spain. There was no way he could have replaced any single player from this winning squad. Scaloni was right not to select him.

If you have been a Messi fan at least since 2014, you deserve some respect. 1. In 2014, your heart was broken seeing Messi lose the prestigious world cup in the hands of the Germans 2. You saw Messi lose another chance to win an international trophy at senior level against Chile 3. Another chance came in 2016, you were again heartbroken after losing the final against Chile. Lionel Messi even retired meaning the dream ended. 4. He came back and you had another chance to dream again but 2018's dream was punctured early in Russia 5. 2019 came but the state of the team was a total Mess. It ended. 6. Rebuilding process followed and you lived through the trolls from the Ronaldo fan base (2016-2021) 7. Finally the year came, dream's alive again, you walked the journey through the final. Only God knows the fear of another heartbreak that engulfed you. You screamed OMG at the final whistle __ victory 8. 2022 came, it's finalΓsima, you witnessed another overwhelming joy as Messi lifted the trophy 9. Still in 2022. It's still fresh in our memories. No need to describe the feelings you lived throughout Qatar. 10. It seems like a dream but it happened. You deserve this moment as his loyal fan. We all do. The king is a world champion today 2 months ago. Congratulations
