Mikel Oyarzabal insists "you can say no to Barcelona" as rumours continue to link him with a move to Hansi Flick's side.
The 29-year-old has become a key player for Real Sociedad over the years, scoring 133 goals and providing 60 assists across 437 appearances for the club.
His 15 goals in LaLiga last season were the most he has managed in a single season, while he also lifted the Copa del Rey in 2025-26, the second time he has won the competition with La Real.
Oyarzabal has also made a strong impression for Spain at the World Cup, scoring four goals and registering one assist in five games.
Barca have been in the market for a forward this summer, with Julian Alvarez also linked with a move to Camp Nou.
La Real's captain has already stated his desire to stay at his current club, but he has not completely closed off a potential transfer.
"Can you say no to Barcelona? Yes, you can. Of course you can. Other players have done it," Oyarzabal told El Chiringuito.
"I’m incredibly happy in San Sebastian. I consider Real Sociedad my home. It's a place where I can live the life I want alongside the people closest to me. I've always said I'm exactly where I want to be.
"In life, you never know what can happen. Football can change very quickly."
La Real begin the 2026-27 LaLiga season away to Real Madrid, while Barca start their title defence against Athletic Club at home on August 16.

oyarzabal is a great player, and him being at sociedad makes him happy, you dont always have to leave just because a club comes in for you. If you're happy and successful where you are, why change it? some ppl also dont work out when they make a move, and they rnd up not happy and not playing well snd if they had just stayed where they were they'd still be happy and probably still playing really well.
