According to Spanish outlet BarcaUniversal, Barcelona's recent signing of Joan Garcia has caught the attention of Chelsea and Manchester United, who are now closely monitoring the situation of Marc-André ter Stegen.

BarcaUniversal states that this move (signing Garcia) is seen as a clear signal that changes in the goalkeeper position at Camp Nou could be imminent.

While Barcelona publicly claims there is fierce competition for the goalkeeping role, the behind-the-scenes reality differs. The club is quietly but steadily addressing its financial woes, starting with resolving the high salary of German goalkeeper Ter Stegen. In England, the Premier League has emerged as the most likely destination for Ter Stegen, both sports-wise and financially.

Manchester United is considering a goalkeeping change due to doubts over André Onana's consistency. Ter Stegen's experience, composure under pressure, and excellent distribution skills align with the goalkeeper profile United seeks for its new era. Chelsea is also in the mix. The club, preparing for next season's UEFA Champions League, is eager to introduce a leader who can set the tone for the team.

Ter Stegen's arrival would not only solve their goalkeeping issues but also add veteran presence and resolve to a young, developing squad. Barcelona acknowledges that letting go of Ter Stegen won't be easy but is willing to consider strong offers. If Joan Garcia is viewed as Ter Stegen's long-term successor, freeing up the German's salary would be a crucial step in easing the club's financial burden.

The door is now open. All that's needed is a decisive move from United or Chelsea. If that happens, Ter Stegen's career at Camp Nou could end sooner than expected.
