Barcelona acted quickly after De Jong's injury this summer, securing an uncontroversial signing: Rodri joined and immediately claimed a starting spot, meaning the Dutchman will likely be benched. Furthermore, the club's other major prospect in this position is Bernal, who will soon be promoted and have his contract renewed. In fact, the academy player has already become Rodri's deputy in the first team and is sure to get playing time this season.
The midfield is severely overstocked, which has also caused discontent among players hoping for more minutes. Fermín and Olmo are sharing playing opportunities, while Gavi hardly plays. The academy player already knew his situation after Rodri's arrival, and his prospects are not optimistic even after he fully recovers from his physical issues. At the end of the season, he will have two years left on his contract, and it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold.
From now on, De Jong must fight for his place, and he knows it will be difficult to get playing time. If he hardly plays, or doesn't play at all, the Dutchman's mind might change, and the club would open the door for his departure. The most important thing now is for him to make a smooth return. Mumu, did any club comes calling for rashford in the summer when his loan expired. Who is rashford and what has he done to say barca did ignore him, did he play for free or did his parent club not the first to make him feel unwanted before he moves to barca or is it must barca have to sign him permanent or did all barca players that went out on loan bought after the season end, some of barca players even come back injured and its the club that take care of their treatment not the one loan them but barca able to take care of rashford while injured last season even though its not a serious one. So you want your favorite player to player to play for big club not your so called average team

What bernal posses to become a rodri deputy, yes bernal is young and is somehow good as well but but not good enough if we’re talking about a player like de jong. Bernal is so slow, he leave spaces open too widely, he and gavi lack technique, they just dont have talent to create a good pass going forward or break line with their passes. Most of gavi and bernal passes are either tiki-taka or backward but dont have talent to break line with passes like rodri, de jong, even xavi espart is better than both bernal and gavi in the middle cuz he knows very well the right person that if he pass to will create a dangerous attacking opportunity
