Sport: Real Madrid not pursuing Rodri this summer, Man City renewed his contract

According to Sport, Rodri has temporarily moved further away from Real Madrid. The report states that after finalizing the acquisition of Bernardo Silva, Real Madrid has no plans to make any further moves for the Manchester City midfielder this summer.

Despite constant rumors, Rodri's arrival never truly swayed Florentino Pérez. Many Real Madrid fans are still resentful about the Ballon d'Or controversy, when Rodri edged out Vinicius Jr. for the award.

However, internally at the club, the situation has always been different. Florentino never saw this deal as a priority, as it would mean paying a large sum for a player who is about to turn 30 and has just recovered from an injury. His physical condition has always been one of the biggest concerns about his potential transfer.
