Sport Witness: Barcelona monitoring 19-year-old Santander prospect Sanalis with €10m release clause

According to Mundo Deportivo, news from Santander indicates that Racing Santander's young talent, Sanalis, was on Barca's scouting list in January this year, and now he has once again become a cost-effective transfer target for Barcelona.

The report states that Jorge Salinas, a left-footed center-back born in Santander in 2007, has been playing as a full-back this season and is now back on Barcelona's transfer radar.

Salinas is a promising young star from Racing Santander's youth academy, and his current contract runs until 2029. If Barca wants to sign the player, they will need to initiate transfer negotiations.

Racing Santander president Manolo Higuera revealed that the player's initial buyout clause of 4 million euros has been increased, and market rumors currently suggest the buyout clause amount has reached 10 million euros. Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes has a close relationship with Barca's sporting director Deco, and he is also assisting in facilitating this potential deal.

The defender has been called up to the Spanish U19 national team and is set to participate in the U19 European Championship starting in Wales.
