According to media reports, during the friendly match between Angola and Argentina in Luanda this Friday, multiple clashes and chaos outside the stadium resulted in injuries to 70 fans, and the scene was briefly out of control.
The match was held at the Luanda Stadium, which has a capacity of 50,000. The Angolan Football Federation released 48,000 tickets. Before the match, severe congestion occurred at the stadium entrance, with many fans attempting to force their way in, leading to widespread chaos. According to the Angolan Emergency Medical Institute, 23 fans sustained injuries from being trampled or falling in the crowd. Another 47 spectators received medical care for headaches and high blood pressure symptoms, related to the heat, unrest, and overcrowding.
Before and during the match, hundreds of fans clashed with Angolan police, escalating the tension. Police prevented some people from entering the stadium, citing a lack of tickets or carrying prohibited items such as slippers, bags, and hats, sparking outrage among the fans. Pushing, arguing, and chaos continued, forcing police to close several stadium entrances for security reasons. Despite the intensity of the clashes, no arrests were recorded by officials.

Imagine an African sitting in his home country watching Messi playing football. That alone is enough reason for some people to lose their lives. Simply the G.O.A.T I'm glad to have seen this generation of football. Speedy recoveries for all those who were injured. Much love from Liberia
