Arsenal news: The Gunners have enjoyed an impressive year in general with a second-placed finish in the Premier League and a return to the Champions League
Arsenal's value has shot up $200 million (£159million) in the last year, according to Forbes. The Gunners have enjoyed one of the best seasons since winning the Premier League title in 2004 in the past 12 months.
Their second-placed finish in the League means Mikel Arteta's side will compete with Europe's elite in the UEFA Champions League next season. The north Londoners have been forced to participate in the Europa League in recent seasons and have not played in Europe's premier competition since 2017.
And according to Forbes, the Gunners' value has enjoyed a slight increase in the past 12 months. Last year, the club's value was $2.05billion (£1.62billion) and is now $2.26billion ($1.79billion) - a $200million increase.
Whilst the increase in value will be encouraging reading for all involved, it remains short of what Forbes valued the football club at back in 2021. Two years ago, they were valued at $2.8billion (£2.22billion).
Furthermore, there is a significant improvement in the Gunners' operating income in the last 12 months. In 2022, they brought in $53 million (£42.1m), whereas now the figure sits at $108million (£85.8m) - more than double.
Despite the increase in value, Arsenal continue to sit behind some of their Premier League rivals. According to Forbes, Tottenham (ninth), Chelsea (eighth), Man City (fifth), Liverpool (fourth) and Manchester United (second) are all valued more than Arsenal, with Real Madrid the highest-valued club at $6.07bn (£4.82bn).
