La Liga formally announced that Luis Suarez was the player of the month for October on Friday.
Following Lionel Messi’s injury against Sevilla Suarez began a run that would cement the award in his favour.
He bagged four goals and two assists in October propelling Barcelona to some fantastic wins, highlighted by a hat-trick in Barcelona’s 5-1 El Clasico win.
Suarez will be presented with the award before Sunday’s game against Real Betis - Barcelona fans will be hoping that he can continue his goalscoring form against Quique Setien’s side.
